Romani Roots

I can't say exactly what my roots are as my Grandfather burnt all the photos

and family records on my fathers side.

My grandfather played the fiddle in a band,

I still have that fiddle and try to play it but the fingerboard is worn down by his

prints.

but I do know I write and love poetry and lately I have been a traveller

but not a traditional one but it has made me even more curious and appreciative of the traveller culture.

I came from near Newcastle on Tyne, have lived in the Dales of North Yorkshire

 but now travel between the two places and West Yorks, a lot, on foot, bus and rail.

I have a great love and curiosity of gypsy music and culture and want to learn more.
